I read Fifty Shades of Grey and I admit I liked it

So most of you have probably heard about the latest book to be passed underneath the table between friends. Well if you haven’t I am talking about Fifty Shades of Grey.

And I know that my title already says that I liked it but I have decided that despite it not being the most well written book that there are two types of people who are talking about the first book or the series as a whole:

  • The ones who liked it and aren’t afraid to admin it.
  • And the ones who complain about how “terrible” the writing is just to cover up how much they liked it and how they are probably reenacting scenes with their significant others.

I am one of the first ones. Obviously.

But in case you do not know what the book is about here is the synopsis from Amazon:

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

So now that you guys who have not read the book(s) know exactly what it is all about.

As a person who reads a lot of books I do not have to have perfectly written books for me to be content. It probably comes from the fact that I do read a lot of FanFiction as well (don’t judge, that stuff is addictive). So the fact that this book series isn’t the most well written does not bother me like it has so many other that have read or tried to read them. I was more addicted to the story line and of course the pervy scenes. Because that shit is addictive.

What? Well it is.

To myself Fifty Shades of Grey was about the addictive storyline and the fact that I was intrigued that it was adapted from a Twilight FanFiction written by the author. And let me tell you once you read it and you realize that bit of information you will never look at Edward and Bella the same way again. And you can so judge which character throughout the book is based on which Twilight character. Like the friend Jose who likes Ana is so Jacob.

But even so I still really enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey and did read the second and third books Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

My disclosure is that this post contains affiliate links and that all opinions are 100% my own and that if some billionaire who is young and hot wants to tie me up for kinky stuff and buy me awesome shit I will not complain.
